That's because steam which occurs when water reaches 212 degrees Fahrenheit under normal conditions. Its simply too powerful for many residential jobs, posing of damage or shrinkage to some kind of carpet fibers. Fortunately, The Floor Masters use the hot-water extraction method with water heated to 140 degrees to kill most of the microorganisms that can live in carpets and cause odors. Our skilled technicians will know what range of temperatures is ideal for any given fiber.
